Craps is a popular dice game with a variety of different bets.  All the different types of bets might confuse a beginner at first, but the most important thing to understand is that the game of Craps is a game of rounds.  The roll to start the first round is called the Come out roll.  If the initial roll is a 2, 3, 7, 11 or a 12 then the game will be reset and another Come out roll will be needed.  If a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or a 10 was rolled then the number rolled will be called the Point.  Whenever a Point is established the dice will be rolled until the same Point or a 7 is rolled.  If you are unsure what the Point is or if there is even a Point established you can check the craps table for an "On" button.  The "On" button will be located above the Point number located at the top of the craps table.

Most Popular Craps Bets

The most popular bets in the game of Craps is the Pass bet, the Don't Pass bet, the Come bet and the Don't Come bet.  The Pass bet will be won if you roll a 7 or 11 during the initial Come out roll and you will lose if a 2, 3 or 12 is rolled.  If a number that is neither 7, 11, 2, 3 or a 12 is rolled then a Point will be established.  To win the bet you will need to roll the Point before you roll a 7.
    The Don't Pass bet works almost the exact opposite.  You will win if the Come out roll is a 2 or a 3, push its a 12 and lose if its a 7 or a 11.  If the Come out roll establishes a Point, then a seven must be rolled before the Point in order for the Don't Pass bet to win.
    The Come Bet works the same as the Pass bet except it is placed after the Come Out roll.  The Point for the Come Bet will be the number rolled after the Come Bet.  The Don't Come Bet works the same way except it is the same as the Don't Pass bet.

Bets that can placed at any time

At any time you can place a bet on the Field, Place bets on a 4, 5, 6, 8 or a 9, Any 7, Craps 3, Bet on 11 and any combination bet.
    Placing a bet on the Field is a one roll bet that wins if the roll totals 2, 3, 4, 9, 10 or a 11.  Place Bets can be placed on a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or a 10.  The Place bet will win if the number is rolled before a 7.
    Any 7 is a one roll bet that will win if the next number rolled is a seven.  Craps 3 is a one roll bet that wins if a three is rolled.  Bet on 11 is a one roll bets that will win if the total is eleven.  You can also bet on any individual pair happening as a one roll bet.
