Jacks or Better Video Poker

Jacks or Better is a classic video poker game that is played by many and widely available.  If you are at a casino that has video poker, there is a good chance that Jacks or Better will be one of the variations available.  The best hand in Jacks or Better is the royal flush followed by a straight flush, four of a kind, full house, flush, straight, three of a kind, two pair and a pair of Jacks or better.
The objective of Jacks or Better is to make a five card poker hand that is a pair of Jacks or better.  There are no wild cards, but it is fairly easy to make a winning poker hand.  There is also a good pay out structure for most of the poker hands.  If you are new to video poker or prefer a more classic video poker game, than this would probably be one of your favourite video poker games.

You can practise playing Jacks or Better with your $1000 play money bankroll at the Instant Play Casino.  Before you start you will need to decide on whether you want to wager $0.25. $0.50, $0.75, $1.00 or $1.25 a hand.  You can adjust your wager by clicking the "Bet One" button or you can press "Bet Max" to wager the full $1.25.  Once your wager is ready you will need to press "Deal".
You will have five playing cards that are dealt face up.  At this time you will need to decide which cards to hold and which cards to discard.  You can hold a card by clicking on the card.  If you click a card you want to discard, you can click on it again to discard it.  When you are ready you will click the "Draw" button.
New cards will be dealt and your hand will be graded.  You will lose your wager if you have a losing hand (a poker hand that is not a pair of Jacks or better).  If you have a winning hand, you will be able to play the double or nothing feature.  If you decide to not play double or nothing, you will collect your winnings and play your next hand.
Five cards will be dealt, one up card (the dealer's card) and four cards dealt face down, if you have chosen to play the double or nothing feature.  At this time you will need to select one of the four playing cards that are dealt face down.  If the card you have chosen is higher than the dealer's card, than you will have doubled your payout.  If it is a tie, than it will be a push.  Whenever this happens you will the option to replay the double or nothing feature.  You will lose your entire winnings accumulated since your last hand if you lose the double or nothing feature.
